Our expert guides will take you to the Fagradalsfjall area which is close to the 2023 eruptions in Sundhnukagigar and Litla Hrut Volcanos, but always with your safety as the priority.

Important Information

  • It is essential that you dress properly for this hike. A thermal base layer and waterproof outer layer are recommended. Jeans are a bad idea as if it rains they will stay wet for hours and you risk of getting very cold. You may be turned back by the guide if not dressed correctly for a hike
  • The hike can take up to 2 hours each way, over sometimes difficult terrain and is rated as a moderate hike for a person of reasonable fitness
Itinerary

Volcano hike + Blue Lagoon

First we will hike the Fagradalsfjall & Merdalir volcano eruption sites from 2021-2022 

Then after the hike we will go relax to the Blue Lagoon

After that we will go back to the city and if there is enough time we will stop at Lake Kleifarvatn for some quick sightseeing.
