Visit the oldest swimming pool in Iceland!

Iceland is home to some of the world’s most stunning natural wonders, and one of them is the Secret Lagoon. Located in Flúðir, the Secret Lagoon is a geothermal pool surrounded by bubbling hot springs and steaming vents, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind.

Unlike other popular geothermal pools in Iceland, the Secret Lagoon is relatively secluded and less crowded, allowing visitors to enjoy the serene atmosphere and natural beauty of the area. The water in the lagoon is crystal clear and maintains a temperature of 38-40°C (100-104°F), making it a perfect year-round destination for travelers.

The Secret Lagoon is also known for its fascinating history, as it was one of Iceland’s first swimming pools, dating back to 1891. Today, the lagoon has undergone several renovations and upgrades, including the addition of a modern changing facility and a small café.

Visiting the Secret Lagoon is an experience like no other. From the soothing warmth of the water to the stunning views of the surrounding landscape, this hidden gem is sure to leave a lasting impression on anyone who visits. So, if you’re planning a trip to Iceland, be sure to add the Secret Lagoon to your itinerary and discover this unique and magical place for yourself.
