Our riding tours depart from Álftagerði farm on the south side of Lake Myvatn. We ride along the coastline of Lake Myvatn, up on top of pseudocraters as well as weaving through the old lava, partly on old horse roads that were used to transport people and supply many many years ago. The tours take you through amazing lava formations and provide you with a view of the whole lake, its islands, and its birds.
The riding tours are suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. You can select between two options, a one-hour riding tour or a two-hour riding tour (time in the saddle). Total time is about 1,5 hrs for the one-hour ride and 2,5 hours for the two-hour ride.
